In the first video, we talked about setting up your blog site as your home base and adding videos, pictures and writing information.
The next step is to sign up for some groups and forums with people that have similar interests. Business groups can be found on Linkedin, Explorb2b, and others.
For almost any topic or interest there are many forums. Do a search for forum _(any topic here)_______ and you will find sites that match.
Sign up and look around the site to see if it has topics in your area of expertise.
Some of the forums may have some rules about your first post and you may have to comment on some posts first. They all have moderators that monitor the sites and keep them on topic and remove any inappropriate posts.
Once you are able, write an article on an area or item that you want to share. Don’t worry about making the perfect post and having a beautiful flow to the words. Just jump in and do it. You will receive comments from your “peers” that will agree, disagree or add information. The result of this is you get recognized as an expert for posting in the area. People will become interested in what you have contributed and want to know more about you. You will be able to direct them to your blog for additional information.
That’s the basis of the second step to becoming an expert.
