Be Yourself and Leave The Dates.
I have been listening to some of the Tim Ferriss Podcasts. Tim is the author of the Four Hour Work Week and other books.
In this episode The Tim Ferriss Show, Episode 20: Dan Carlin – Hardcore History, Building Podcasts, Creativity, and More they discuss podcasts and how they have developed their own styles.
They have not changed who they are, they have just become more comfortable with the medium. When doing videos, audios and others don’t try and be someone else just be yourself. Make mistakes, stumble over words and learn and grow as you do more. I have over 200 videos loaded on youtube so far. These are on different sites so you may not see them all here. I have separated them based on the area of interest.
Sometimes when I take a break from making videos and I just do write blog posts it takes me a little bit to get back in the groove and get my thoughts together.
But it started with one.
On a recent Facebook post, someone had asked a question about dates on blogs/videos and he had noticed that people were posting them without the dates and asked if it was a good idea. I responded that I didn’t think it was a good idea mainly because you never know which video people will see first. They may watch a few and one might be recent and another a few years old. Without dates or some reference they may be confused if you are improving or not.
So be yourself, talk about things that you are passionate about, provide information and keep the dates.
