We have been looking for some land to buy for the past few weeks. Both my wife and I grew up in the country and have been raising the kids in the ‘burbs. Well not really the ‘burbs as they are known near the big cities but in a subdivision with neighbors in a decent sized town. We have driven a lot of miles and seen some great countryside we didn’t know existed in our area.
What we are starting to realize that in an effort to give the kids what we didn’t have we forgot to give them what we did have. So we have been looking for some property in the same school district that we can build on and plant some gardens, put up a greenhouse and the kids can learn about growing food and getting their hands dirty. And they are going to hate it.
What allows up to do this and have the time to do what we want? Working from home and having flexible hours.
