Dexter Dryer Not Turning
On some of the older models, a contact for the motor starter on the circuit board fails and the drum will not turn. The repair is easy enough if you have soldered or you could probably get a local computer repair shop to solder it for you.
It seems that the bad solder connection may have been a factor in the motor capacitor failure in This Video.
As always the first step is to turn off the power to prevent injuries and shorting out something else on the board and causing more problems. All of the wires are color coded and they are marked on the board but it’s always a good habit to check before you disconnect anything or take a couple of pictures for reference.
